Kiwigreen Pest Monitoring

Do you enjoy working outdoors and have an interest in horticulture and biosecurity? Verified Lab Services is seeking Seasonal Field Technicians to support our kiwifruit pest monitoring programme across the stunning regions of the Bay of Plenty, Northland, and Coromandel!

In this role, you’ll:

• Monitor kiwifruit orchards for pests and host weeds of concern by systematically inspecting clusters of fruit and leaves.
• Travel daily across the region with an experienced team to monitor orchards.
• Inspect leaves for pests in our laboratory.
• Play a vital role in ensuring New Zealand kiwifruit remains top-quality for international markets!
• No experience? No problem! Full training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to learn something new alongside an experienced team.

Location: Based at one of our monitoring sites in Kerikeri, Whitianga, Aongatete, Te Puke, or Opotiki.

Contract: Casual, starting in early January and running through mid-February (subject to seasonal changes). Further work may be available through our kiwifruit maturity testing season, which runs until June.
