VLS Field Technician

Are you looking for a hands-on outdoor role? Verified Lab Services is hiring Seasonal Kiwifruit Collectors to support our kiwifruit maturity testing across the Bay of Plenty, Northland, Waikato, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, and Coromandel regions.

In this role, you will:

• Collect 10+ kiwifruit samples from orchards in your local area for laboratory testing.
• Ensure samples meet strict quality standards, providing growers with accurate data to guide their harvest decisions.
• Work independently or in pairs, often starting your day from home and travelling to orchards in your region.
• Use technology to track sampling progress, and coordinate with growers and lab teams to ensure timely results.
• Receive full training and all the equipment you need to do the job effectively, with ongoing support and social events throughout the season.

What we’re looking for:

• Reliable individuals who enjoy working outdoors.
• Tech-savvy individuals, comfortable using mobile applications to perform their tasks.
• Self-motivated individuals who can follow detailed instructions and work independently.
• Availability to work up to 6 days a week, between 6 AM and 3 PM, in all weather conditions.
• A full, clean driver’s license (use of a company vehicle may be available based on your schedule).

Details:

• Locations: Kerikeri, Whangarei, Whitianga, Waikato, Katikati, Tauranga, Te Puke, Whakatane, and Opotiki.
• Contract: Casual, starting in January and running through June, depending on how the season progresses.
